      DeCode does not collect, store, or transmit any data — ever. Everything runs locally in your browser.
    

What we collect

Nothing. DeCode collects no personal information, no browsing history, no page content, and no usage data of any kind.

How the extension works

DeCode is a purely local tool. When you select text on a webpage and click the badge:

The selected text is processed entirely within your browser tab.
No data is sent to any server, API, or third party.
No network requests are made by this extension.
Nothing is written to disk or stored between sessions.

Permissions

DeCode requests one permission: <all_urls> (host access to all pages). This is required solely to inject the decode/encode panel UI when you manually select text. The extension does not read, scrape, or record page content in any way.

Third parties

DeCode has no backend, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no advertising. No third-party code or services are involved.

Children's privacy

DeCode does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
